This morning, Sunday, October 22, 2023 AD, the management of the National Fish Canning and Packaging Factory in Al-Shihr District directed the Occupational Safety and Health Department to raise the level of preparedness in anticipation of any emergency, and to work on preparing security and safety equipment and two civil defense vehicles for the factory, and to place them at the disposal and directives of the local authority and the concerned authorities in the city of Al-Shihr. This is to serve the people and avoid any emergency as a result of Tropical Cyclone #Tej, which is currently in the #Arabian_Sea and close to #Socotra Island.

The occupational safety and health team began arranging procedures and plans, preparing and inspecting the equipment and two civil defense vehicles at the factory, and placing them under readiness and efficiency.

The civil defense vehicles of the National Fish Canning and Packaging Factory have a high capacity to suck water from ponds, swamps, and rain collection areas, and push it through suction equipment, devices, and high-speed pumps.
